Stephen Wertzbaugher writes supernatural and psychological horror that burrows into deeper spiritual conflicts, stories where sin, fear, and grief meet the possibility of grace. He’s the author of Redemption, the first Cassidy Kain Supernatural Thriller, and the Twisted Tales of Familiar Faces novellas, Quixote, a dark reimagining of Don Quixote, and Strangled, a dark reimagining of Rapunzel, published by M4L Publishing. His short stories “Love is a Many Splendored Thing” and “Tremors” appear in the Darkest of Dreams Volume 1 Cryptid Horror anthology.
Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Stephen currently lives in Denver, Colorado, with his wife, within spitting distance of their three adult children and two grandchildren. When he’s not writing, he enjoys scuba diving, hiking, fishing, and telling terrible dad jokes that still make his children cringe. And despite everything he knows, he still checks under the bed before turning out the lights.
