Relic: An Over Forty Urban Fantasy Prequel (The Hellgate Chronicles Book 0)

Book 0 of The Hellgate Chronicles. This prequel explores Diana McLeod’s story forty years before the events of Reunion.

She spent her life chasing the truth. She never asked what would happen if it caught her.

Diana McLeod has devoted her life to what others dismiss—ancient magic, forgotten histories, and the whispers of a shadow world just beyond reach. But when a haunted young woman arrives with a box of century-old letters, Diana’s curiosity sharpens into obsession.

The letters speak of the Hellgate, a relic of immense power that once brought the world to the brink. Its location was lost.
Until now.

All signs point to Bellingham, Washington, where the veil between worlds is dangerously thin, and something dark is clawing through.

Armed with wit, will, and a gift for seeing what others can’t, Diana follows the trail into a web of secret orders, buried grief, and dangerous truths. But knowledge has a cost.

Some truths refuse to stay buried. Others will bury you for finding them.

RELIC is a sharp, atmospheric urban fantasy novella about dangerous knowledge, midlife magic, and the women who refuse to be silenced.
