After being nudged into early retirement in 2021, Mimi has focused on writing fiction. Her debut novel, Forks & Knives, was originally published in August 2024 by Black Rose Writing. Soon after, her second novel, DARE, was published in April 2025 by Little Key Publishing, an imprint Mimi and her husband Stephen created. In October 2026, Little Key republished Forks & Knives with a new cover and also published Mimi’s third novel, Whatever Comes Next. She’s now working on Book #4.
With degrees in communication and organizational leadership, Mimi’s pre-retirement career centered around public relations, where she was responsible for creating promotional materials, including brochures, website content, newsletters, and newspaper articles. Writing a novel was once a Bucket List item to check off. Now such writing is ingrained in the fabric of her daily life.
Married to her best friend, Stephen, Mimi enjoys trips to Europe, reading, theater, scrapbooking, yin yoga, and spending time with the couple’s four adult children (all in Colorado!) and their adorable grandchildren. For more information about Mimi and her novels: www.authormimi.com
